In Ganen Pavilion sits a statue of the late President Chiang Ching-kuo, facing south. Climb to the top and you have a fine 360-degree view of Dongyin and Xiyin islands, as well as the vastness of the ocean. In summer the sunlight sparkles off the waves, and in winter the wind blows cold, giving an entirely different feeling with the different seasons.
