The eco tours are available between May and September annually, departing from Zhongzhu Port. Along the coasts are plenty of old military sites, and at Shuangzi Reef Tern Conservation Area, visitors can watch black-tailed terns. There are also classic sea grooves such as Suicide Cliff, A Thread of Sky, and Yanxiu Tidal Echo. Dongyin feels especially imposing when appreciating it from the sea.
Dongyin is a hilly island and its coasts are eroded by the sea. The well developed diorites make the coasts stiff and steep. Fishery resources are plenty around the island, making Dongyin ideal for rock fishing.
