Receiving the Sunrise

Arriving at Dongju across the sea, many visitors like to watch the Sunrise and feel the vibe of a whole new day at Dongju Lighthouse and Fuzheng Village.

The sunrise-watching tours take visitors to explore Mindong culture, Matsu’s good food, and of course the famous lighthouse, all on Dongju Islet. There is sure much good memory to bring home.

The Dongju Island Lighthouse is an absolutely stunning location for viewing the scenery, whether it is at sunrise or sunset

The Fuzheng settlement is situated on the slope below the Dongju Island Lighthouse.

The New Year's Dawn Welcoming and Flag Raising Fun Run event is held annually on January 1st. The location rotates among the townships in cooperation with local organizations.
