The Dongju Island Lighthouse, a century-old beacon, was designated in 1988 by the Ministry of the Interior as a Level II historical site for the Taiwan-Fujian region and is now recognized as a national monument. It is the oldest surviving Western-style stone lighthouse in Taiwan. The tower is circular and built with granite. Along its slope is a short 130 cm stone wall that serves as a windbreak wall, allowing staff to walk on the sheltered side between the lighthouse and its office during strong winds.

In the daytime, visitors can admire both the lighthouse and the surrounding scenery. At night, it's a perfect spot for stargazing and moon watching. Grab your camera and set out to explore this stunning white lighthouse!
