Qinbi Village in Matsu is located at the foot of Qinshan and Bishan mountains, which is how it got its name. The entire village stretches along the coast in a crescent shape and is fondly nicknamed the “Mediterranean of Matsu” or even “Little Greece.” Wandering through the narrow alleys, you’ll encounter rows of traditional Eastern Fujian-style stone houses. Each one is uniquely crafted with different wall-laying techniques—such as T-shaped, herringbone, or random stone patterns—creating a nostalgic and exotic atmosphere, as if you were strolling through an old story-filled town.

Many of the stone houses have been renovated into homestays, restaurants, and artistic spaces. Here, you can slow down, pick a cozy café to sit in, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. Or simply gaze out at the shimmering sea and the blue waves accompanied by Turtle Island—a small islet shaped like a turtle. It feels just like a sweet melody is playing gently by your ears.
