Dongyin is famous for its magnificent sea-eroded terrain, strange rock landscapes, and strong battlefield atmosphere, making it the most distinctive small island in the Matsu Archipelago. The terrain on the island is undulating. This itinerary focuses on "friendly stops," selecting attractions that are accessible by vehicle, require short walking distances, and offer excellent views for travelers with limited mobility, ensuring a safer and smoother journey.

III. Suggested One-Day Accessible Itinerary for Dongyin

Keelung (Taima Star) → Dongyin → Dongyin Visitor Center → Dongyin Winery (Dongyong Wine Cellar) → Lienyu Yikeng (Far view from observation deck) → Zhongzhu Island, Gan'en Pavilion → Zhongqing Road Observation Deck (Crocodile Island)

Boarding Taima Star at Keelung Port

To make the journey smoother and more convenient, it is recommended that travelers "drive their car onto the ship with the wheelchair" to avoid the inconvenience of the wheelchair passing through the ramp alone.
Taima Star features:

• Accessible Cabins: 2 rooms (one large bed, two small beds; bed boards are higher, please be careful when getting on the bed)

The ramp on the ship is slightly bumpy; it is safer if accompanied by family members driving onto the ship.

Dongyin Visitor Center

Designed with the imagery of a lighthouse and terns, this welcome facility is the most recommended first stop after arriving in Dongyin. Visitors can watch introductory videos, pick up brochures, and ask for travel information. It is very close to both Zhongzhu Port and the heliport.

Dongyin Winery (Dongyong Wine Cellar)

The Dongyong Wine Cellar maintains a temperature below 18°C and humidity above 60% year-round, providing the best environment for aging Kaoliang liquor.
Low-temperature slow aging makes the liquor smoother and the aroma more stable, making it the most representative wine culture experience point in Dongyin.

Lienyu Yikeng (Far view from observation deck)

Dongyin's famous canyon wall landscape. The "Chaste Woman Stone," formed according to legend by a woman waiting for her husband, is also located in this area.
Visitors can follow the safety railings to the observation deck to overlook the huge canyon and rock walls hundreds of meters high.

Accessibility Tips:

• Recommended to visit by "viewing from the observation platform"

• Large drop in elevation; wheelchairs are not recommended to go deep into the trail area

Zhongzhu Island, Gan'en Pavilion

Dongyin and Xiyin were once connected by Zhongzhu Island, which was only exposed at low tide.
In 1975, the Jieshi Bridge was built to connect Dongyin and Zhongzhu, and later the road was extended to Xiyin, allowing land travel between the two islands.

The "Gan'en Pavilion" along the way offers a distant view of the Chiang Ching-kuo statue and is a distinctive coastline landmark.
The entire route is most suitable for "viewing from the car + short stops."

Zhongqing Road Observation Deck (View of Crocodile Island)

Zhongqing Road offers an excellent view, allowing a distant look at the giant rock "Crocodile Island" shaped like a crocodile. It is one of the most easily accessible sea viewing spots in Dongyin.

After parking, you can take photos briefly on the observation platform and enjoy Dongyin's unique sea erosion wonders without walking long distances.
