This route focuses on Beigan Island's battlefield landscapes and Min-Dong architecture, connecting representative attractions such as War and Peace Memorial Park, Qinbi Settlement, and Bishan. It is the most relaxing way to explore Beigan's culture and natural scenery. Both the morning (221) and afternoon (222) services operate as cruise-style buses, and travelers can choose either session to experience.

Suggested Itinerary (Morning Route 221 / Afternoon Route 222)

Tangqi Station (Starting Point) → War and Peace Memorial Park → Tanghou Beach → Bishan Observation Deck → Qiaozi Village → Qinbi Village → Banli Mazu Temple → Tangqi Station (End Point)

War and Peace Memorial Park

A memorial park dedicated to Matsu’s military history. Preserved military facilities and battlefield heritage illustrate the islands’ historical journey from war toward peace.

Tanghou Beach

One of Beigan’s most iconic golden-sand beaches. Visitors can enjoy unique views of the beach, bay, and Beigan Airport, making it a relaxing stop on the island.

Bishan Observation Deck

Located at the highest point on Beigan and one of the finest viewpoints in the Matsu Islands. From here, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of Tanghou Beach, Beigan Airport, surrounding uninhabited islands, and the vast sea.

Qiaozi Village

A traditional village rich in local character and home to numerous temples. It is an important place to discover Beigan’s folk beliefs and traditional way of life.

Qinbi Village

Beigan’s most iconic Eastern Min-style stone-house settlement. Nestled between the mountains and the sea, it is often described as the “Mediterranean of Matsu.” Its well-preserved stone houses make it one of the island’s most photogenic and culturally significant attractions.

Banli Mazu Temple

An important center of worship in Banli Village, Beigan. Dedicated primarily to Mazu, the temple reflects generations of maritime faith and local culture and is an important site for understanding Beigan’s traditional village heritage.
