From the vantage point of Huandao N. Road, visitors can enjoy a birds-eye-view of Ledaoao Reservoir, which is in the northern part of Xiju Island. In early days, the army decided to build this valley reservoir because Xiju often suffered from droughts and there weren’t not many sources of water. The reservoir serves both civilians and soldiers well, in addition to providing water for irrigation.
Today, Ledaoao is perfect for appreciating bay and mountain views. On a clear day, the tourist sign board of Huandao N. Road is a great spot for observing the mountains on the other side of the strait and the setting Sun.
