Matsu’s Summer Nights Shine Once Again with a Touch of Glimmer! Hosted by Matsu National Scenic Area Headquarters, Tourism Administration, MOTC, the 2025 Glimmer. Concert will take place at Nangan Visitor Center on Friday, July 11 at 5 PM. This year’s event marks the second highlight of Glimmer Matsu’s 5th anniversary, themed “Mystic Glow”, symbolizing the magical Blue Tears and the wonder of summer nights on the islands. The concert features an exciting lineup with Wei Ru yun, the Fengmingzhai Chinese Orchestra, and the Masker Performing Arts Troupe, bringing a fusion of music, dance, and visual spectacle to the stage. Accompanied by a Matsu-themed cultural and creative market, a "Double Voucher" promotion, and a series of exclusive marketing activities, this island-style summer party promises a romantic evening where music and glimmer meet. Travelers are warmly invited to join this unique celebration and experience the enchanting charm of Matsu after dark.
Kicking off the evening is the Masker Performing Arts Troupe, The one and only creative team that fuses cosplay, street dance, juggling, and theatrical dance into one dynamic performance in Taiwan. With extensive international experience, including invitations to perform in Japan and Indonesia as Taiwan’s representative, they promise a visually striking and high-energy opening act. Next up, vocal powerhouse Wei Ruyun will grace the stage with her soulful voice, offering a heartfelt performance that brings warmth and emotional depth to the summer night, highlighting the pure beauty and charm of music. Bringing the evening to a grand close is the Fengmingzhai Chinese Orchestra, whose performance blends traditional instruments like the dizi (bamboo flute) and pipa (lute) with modern stylistic innovation, creating a richly layered musical experience that elegantly merges classical heritage with contemporary flair.

In addition, Matsu National Scenic Area Headquarters is partnering with the Lienchiang County Transportation and Tourism Bureau and the Beigan Township Office to host a family-friendly market concert at Mabi Bay. Featuring well-known singers and performance groups, the event offers interactive shows that bring audiences closer to the music. To further enhance the experience, the Beigan Township Office has curated a “Beigan Ocean Adventure” series, including exciting activities such as stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) with the "Paddle Through Beigan" experience. Starting June 20, the “Mabi Bay Weekend Market” will take place every Friday and Saturday, making it the perfect summer afternoon escape for locals and visitors alike in Matsu.
