The content covered multiple dimensions including sustainable tourism, cultural asset revitalization and reuse, and policy integration, while inviting Executive Director Wu, Han-chung, curator of Matsu Biennial, to share the possibilities for Matsu's cultural tourism, slow travel, and international landscape tourism development using this exhibition as an example; additionally, Professor Chiang, Bo-wei from National Taiwan Normal University was invited to share new directions for revitalizing and reusing Matsu's military heritage through tourism approaches based on international cases.

Through this symposium, valuable opinions from experts and scholars, local government, civil organizations, and local residents will be incorporated into the 2028-2031 Mid-term Construction Plan of Matsu National Scenic Area. Subsequently, a second symposium in an expanded format will be held to deepen professional exchanges and build policy consensus.

The Headquarters will continue to strengthen cross-domain integration and local communication, develop attractive scenic spots, optimize existing recreational facilities in the premises, and through strategies such as sustainable development, discovering local cultural tourism characteristics, low-carbon experiences, and creative marketing, promote the transformation and economic revitalization of Matsu's tourism industry, enhance Matsu residents' land value identification and strengthen international tourism image, realizing the sustainable goals of ecological conservation, cultural inheritance, and local economic development simultaneously, hoping to take root in the domestic travel market, expand international visitor sources, and progressively build Matsu into a slow travel vacation island chain.
