Xiju Qingfan Harbor

Qingfan Harbor, located on the southern coast of Xiju Island, serves as the island’s main gateway and administrative center. Formerly called “Qingfan,” the village is said to have been named after early foreign residents. Built along the hillside with wide ocean views, Qingfan Village resembles a white Mediterranean town against blue skies. Covering about 134 hectares, it is Xiju’s busiest settlement, commercial district, and port; in the late Qing era, its thriving trade earned it the nickname “Little Hong Kong.” Walking through the village reveals stone walls, slogans, and old houses that reflect its fishing and military past, while Jing Tianhou Temple and the Marshal Chen Temple by the harbor remain important religious landmarks.
