How to Get to Matsu-Ferries

By Air: Flights depart from Taipei Songshan Airport, Taichung Airport, and Kaohsiung International Airport. The flight takes about 50 minutes to 1 hour, depending on weather and flight schedules, arriving at either Nangan Airport or Beigan Airport.
By Ferry: The “New Taima Ferry” departs from Keelung Port to Nangan and Dongyin, with a sailing time of approximately 8 to 10 hours. Inter-island ferries also operate between Nangan, Beigan, Xiju, and Dongju.
Travelers can choose the mode of transport that best suits their itinerary. It is recommended to check flight and ferry schedules in advance and make reservations early for a smooth trip.

Ticketing Hours:
- Keelung & Nangan: 08:30–17:00
- Dongyin: 06:30 a.m. until departure (based on actual port arrival time). Tickets may also be purchased one day before departure at the All Ports Express service counter.
Important Notes:
- Passengers taking the New Taima Ferry must carry valid identification and complete port security inspections before boarding.
- Reservations by phone or online can be made up to 60 days before departure.
- When traveling between Matsu islands, please check whether the sailing route is “via Nangan first” or “via Dongyin first” to plan your itinerary efficiently.

Notes
Fuao Port Departure Time: If affected by airport closure, departure may be delayed by approximately 1 hour.
Weather Impact: Sailing times may vary by 30 minutes to 1 hour due to sea conditions, currents, seasonal factors, or fog.
Service Suspension: Sailings will be canceled when wind or wave levels exceed Grade 10. Passengers are advised to confirm the latest sailing status with All Ports Express before departure.

- Taoyuan HSR Station: Check-in starts at 7:30 AM for boarding procedures and ticket collection; check-in closes at 7:50 AM. Late arrivals will not be accepted.
- Matsu Port: Check-in begins 2.5 hours before departure; check-in closes 45 minutes before departure. Late arrivals will not be accepted.

“Taipei Main Station”
- Check-in starts at 6:30 AM for boarding procedures and ticket collection; check-in closes at 6:45 AM. Late arrivals will not be accepted.
- Passengers must present a valid photo ID (National ID Card / NHI Card / Passport). Children without an ID may present a household registration transcript or NHI Card, along with the ticket, for boarding.
- For safety reasons, passengers purchasing disabled tickets and companion tickets should go directly to Taipei Port for check-in, as the shuttle bus does not provide accessible safety seating.
- For safety and hygiene reasons, passengers taking the shuttle bus may not bring pets. Please go directly to Taipei Port for check-in.
