Matsu is an offshore islet of Taiwan. Compared to other marathon sites in the country, Matsu has many more steep hills,making Matsu Marathon challenging. For its participants to enjoy a better weather, the marathon is held in November every year.Along with Matsu’s village culture, wartime heritage sites, and Mindong folk customs, the organizer hopes to make Matsu more known to the world’s visitors with this sports event. Because of its landscapes, Matsu is ideal for road runners who prefer challenges.
