Luohanping Rock is located at the northwestern part of Xiyin Island. It is composed of flat reef rocks, sea grooves, and sea stacks. The standing stacks can already be appreciated when you are still on the sea. Some people say that they look like the legendary 18 Arhats. That’s why they’re called Luohanzhu by the locals, meaning “Arhat Pillars.”
Note: Be sure to exclude a nearby military base when you take photos of Luohanping Rock. Soldiers are still stationing there at the base today.
