The gateway of Dongyin Township
Dongyin is the northernmost islet of Matsu Islands and it is also the closest to Taiwan. Zhongzhu Harbor is its gateway. When entering the harbor, the three big red characters on a hill, “Zhong Zhu Gang,” can be easily spotted.
Plenty of houses rest on the harbor’s northeastern hill - they are Lehua and Zhongliu Villages, densely populated by Mindong people. Early immigrants settled down there.
