Gods of the White Horse Temple is located in Xiaoaokou north of Matsu Village. It worships two celestial emperors, one in charge of military affairs and the other non-military affairs. While they also ride white horses like the commonly seen “Respected Emperor with White Horse,” they are essentially different.
The small, delicate temple features traditional “Mindong saddle-shape walls.” The combination of white stone tiles and flowy colorful lines of the walls make the temple look alive yet calm. This perfectly manifests the beauty of traditional temple architecture.
